Sterling Lexington Brick
Sterling Lexington Brick
The characteristic bricks which have become iconic throughout Lexington, Virginia were made in the Chilhowie Brick Plant from 1880-1910. The textured patterns in the bricks were designed to provide a firm footing for both horses and pedestrians. The bricks can be found in our hometown of Lexington along the paths and walkways of Washington & Lee University and the Virginia Military Institute.
Maureen and Rebecca Worth are a mother and daughter team who have been designing and creating jewelry together since the mid 1980s. In the late 1990s they designed a jewelry line that is our own interpretation of these old paver patterns. The jewelry line is fondly referred to their trademarked Historic Brick Collection featuring the Lexington Brick.
